New Year sees premium lots released at Lakelands
Some of the most sought-after homesites at Lakelands Private Estate will be part of the first release of new land in 2010 at the award-winning Peet Limited community.
A total of eight homesites across two stages will be made available to Perth homebuyers at 1pm on Saturday 16 January 2010 from the Lakelands Private Estate Sales Office.
Strong demand is expected to greet this New Year release with premium traditional homesites hitting the market.
As part of the release, two large corner homesites in Stage 1E – generously-sized at 656sqm and 753sqm – offer prime frontage directly onto the Lakelands’ beautifully landscaped Lakes Park.
With their elevated position offering ocean glimpses, the homesites represent some of the most in-demand land at the community and are located in one of the Lakelands’ most established precincts.
The six remaining homesites in Stage 12B provide homebuyers with a wide range of options to suit their needs. The lots range from 387sqm to 686sqm and include easy-to-maintain cottage lots as well as larger homesites for families looking for a little more space.
The Stage 12B lots also offer homebuyers an affordable option for investing in the Lakelands community with homesites priced from $152,000.
The lots are within easy reach of surrounding parkland areas meaning future residents will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors right on their doorstep.
Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said Lakeland Private Estate offers purchasers an enviable location with a range of highly sought-after facilities right on their doorstep.
“With close to 1000 homesites sold at Lakelands, Perth homebuyers continue to be attracted to the community’s unique location on the Perth-side of Mandurah which gives them easy access to schools, shopping facilities and Mandurah’s city centre,” Mr Gore said.
Lakelands offers an enviable list of attractions such as beautiful Madora Beach just minutes from the estate and Mandurah’s renowned boating, fishing, crabbing and picnicking spots are all regular favourites Lakelands residents have close to the community.
Aside from natural attractions, Lakelands is well located close to major shopping facilities and other amenities and the new Perth to Bunbury Highway makes it even easier for those wanting to work in the city, yet live in a family-orientated neighbourhood.
An added attraction for all purchasers is Peet Limited’s Flying Start package, which at Lakelands Private Estate can include fencing, front garden landscaping and reticulation.
Homebuyers looking to join the Lakelands community can also take advantage of Peet’s new house and land website - www.peethouseandland.com.au.
Peet teamed up with more than 30 builders to create the new site which features Western Australia’s largest range of house and land packages.
Homebuyers can match a wide variety of home designs options to their preferred lot at Lakelands Private Estate, all within minutes. The website gives them the option to compare prices, adjust their preferences using a sliding scale and view detailed plans to find a dream home that suits their lifestyle.
The lots are available on-site at the Lakelands Private Estate Sales Office – Corner Jasper Way and Dalona Parkway, Lakelands (off Catalina Drive), on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lakelands reaches milestone as community welcomes its 1000th buyer
Peet Limited’s award-winning Lakelands Private Estate has achieved an important milestone, welcoming its 1000th homebuyer to the highly sought-after community.
Like many Perth homebuyers, Mark Randall and partner Rhiannon Craig chose to invest in the Lakelands community, buying their new block on Woorabinda Rise.
Drawn to the community’s location on the Perth side of Mandurah, little did they know they had become the community’s 1000th purchasers.
“We chose Lakelands because of its great location and the fact that it has a strong family neighbourhood community – we already know so many other residents.” Ms Craig said.
“We’ve just started our family and with schools so close and easy access to the new Highway, it has everything we were looking for.”
Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore welcomed the couple to Lakelands Private Estate saying their purchase represented a significant milestone for the community.
“Since the first lots were released at Lakelands, Perth homebuyers have been attracted to the estate, making it one of the most well-established communities in the region,” Mr Gore said.
“With our recent releases continuing to generate strong interest from buyers, we look forward to welcoming even more residents into their new home at Lakelands.”
Lakelands Private Estate is a 2,500 lot master-planned community located on the Perth-side of Mandurah. Residents have easy access to Perth via the Perth to Bunbury Highway while still enjoying the very best coastal lifestyle that Mandurah has to offer.
The entire community is set around the beautiful Black Swan and Paganoni lakes, and these areas are home to a variety of native wildlife and connected by nature reserves, parklands and gardens.
Aside from natural attractions, Lakelands offers homebuyers everything they need. Just minutes from the community there’s a wide range of schooling options in the local area with Mandurah Baptist College now open at the community and State primary schools, State high schools and the Frederick Irwin Anglican School all within easy access.
Mr Gore said Peet is continuing to plan for the future growth of Lakelands Private Estate as more and more homebuyers look to call the community home.
“Construction has started on the new Lakelands Display Village which, when completed later this year, will become the largest builders display village in the southern suburbs,” Mr Gore said.
Peet Limited has been working closely with some of Perth’s most experienced homebuilders to deliver the new 26-home display village that will allow prospective residents to walk through various designs from cottage-style houses to larger traditional and homestead living options.
An exciting part of the future at Lakelands is the development of the Lakelands town centre that will include a major supermarket, specialty stores and community facilities.
The Lakelands town centre will be located in the north-western area of the community adjacent to Mandurah Road. With extensive planning already underway, Peet Limited continues to work with the City of Mandurah to bring this new section of the community to life.
Elsewhere, planning is also well underway for the development of the first stages of keenly anticipated land located in the Eastern Precinct of Lakelands.
The Eastern Precinct will comprise two significant wetland areas – Black Swan and Paganoni lakes – with the first lots expected to be released in 2011. Peet Limited is working with some of Western Australia’s leading consultants to ensure this area capitalises on the outstanding natural assets of the area.

Peet streamlines house and land search
Homebuyers in Western Australia can save days, hours and even weeks searching for their new home thanks to Peet’s new website – www.peethouseandland.com.au – which was launched today.
Peet teamed up with more than 30 builders to create the website, featuring Western Australia’s largest range of house and land packages.
Homebuyers can literally sort through hundreds of homesites and home designs in minutes – wherever and whenever they like.
After setting a budget, preferred home features and selecting a Peet community, tailor-made packages are delivered to the customer online.
Homebuyers can then compare options, adjust their preferences using a sliding scale and view detailed plans to find a dream home that suits their lifestyle.
Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said the website would save time, streamline the home selection process and make it easier for homebuyers to find the option that specifically suited them.
“Peet House and Land uses dynamic search technology to create packages customised to meet preferences set by homebuyers,” Mr Gore said.
“Peet recognises time is precious and we are pleased to make the home selection process easier by helping homebuyers search for their new home whenever and wherever they like.
“By matching budgets and preferences to Peet homesites and home designs from more than 30 builders, we can deliver customised solutions, which saves time and effort but that enables homebuyers to stay in control of the results.”
Mr Gore said Peet had worked with more than 30 of WA’s home builders to produce the website.
He said new packages would be added each week to the Peet House and Land website to ensure homebuyers had access to the latest land and home designs released.
The website also features a raft of information about selecting a homesite and building a new home – from budgeting to land settlement and home construction – which will also be updated regularly.

Green thumbs out in force at Lakelands
Local green thumbs will be out in force at Lakelands Private Estate this month as the award-winning Peet Limited estate supports Planet Ark’s National Tree Planting Day.
The initiative is Australia's biggest community tree-planting event and sees hundreds of thousands of volunteers plant native trees at specific sites in their local area.
Last year Lakelands Private Estate residents and Mandurah Baptist College students joining 312,000 fellow volunteers Australia-wide in planting 1.6 million trees and shrubs at 3,500 sites around the country including Mandurah.
In 2009, Lakelands will again support National Tree Planting Day by hosting a special Tree Day site for the community.
Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said the initiative is a great opportunity for the community to get involved and help achieve lasting benefits for the local environment.
“Environmental protection and sustainability have been key elements in the development at Lakelands Private Estate and Peet Limited is pleased to once again support this valuable and worthwhile project,” Mr Gore said.
This year, activities for National Tree Planting Day will start at 9.00am and will be divided across two days: • Friday, 31July for school students; and • Sunday, 2 August for the rest of the community.
The Lakelands Tree Day site will be located on Catalina Drive near the Mandurah Baptist College in Lakelands. The plant species selected for the site are all native and will provide habitat and food for local fauna including birds, butterflies, and mammals.
The whole family is invited to participate in National Tree Day with tools and equipment for planting provided for participants as well as a BBQ and refreshments at the end of the day.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottles and gloves.
To help with organisation on the day, all those who are interested in participating are asked to register their interest. Everyone who registers by 24 July will go in the draw to win a Lakelands Private Estate Picnic set and cooler bag.
